| Come and gather as brothers & sisters in community |
|
We seek to create a welcoming place to worship and to be a welcoming group of people as we journey through life. We are trying to do good in the world. We encourage peace, and yet we work for justice. We believe that peace without justice is just silent pain. We raise our voices when we see that people without voices are being ignored or abused. We declare our consciences when we see others acting without conscience. It is an honest group. We carry the conviction that the Apostle Paul meant it when he wrote, "There is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer slave or free, there is no longer male and female; for all of you are one in Christ Jesus." (Galatians 3:28). We seek to live by these same words. We resist reasons to reject others and embrace reasons to join with others. We are an open and affirming congregation-welcoming people from the GLBT community.
