Northwest Community Church believes that one of its main missions is to be an active and vocal member of the Las Vegas community. Following is a list of activities of Northwest Community Church: Crop Walk - 19 members of the church participated raising approximately $2,700.00 which won the church the Piggy Bank award as well as the Silver Sneaker award for the most walkers. AIDS Walk - approximately 12 members of the church walked and raised nearly $900.00. Pride Parade - 47 members of the church marched and the church received an award for the best use of pride colors. GLBT Legal Clinic - 35 participants attended a presentation by a group of UNLV law students and a member of the Lubbers Law Group on a variety of issues including how to protect property rights and pass them on through wills and trusts, how to protect health care decisions, and adoption and custody issues.
